Himachal Pradesh is the northernmost undisputed state in India, situated south of Kashmir, between the Punjab and Tibet. It is a mountainous state in the Western Himalayas with peaks that rise above 19,000 feet. Although Himachal is mostly Hindu, there is a considerable Buddhist population there made up mostly of Tibetan refugees. The most famous of these is the Dali Lama who resides in the hill town of Dharmsala. Below you can see the variety of beautiful faces that populate this part of the world.
